For JC Barone, media is our national curriculum; creating honest, informative, and engaging media is a necessity in a world of information overload. He successfully initiated collaborative media projects and programs at the State University of New York at New Paltz and Mount Saint Mary College, pulling in the resources of experts, agencies, schools, students, faculty, and staff. An independent video writer-producer-director of commercial and educational media for over 15 years, he is the recipient of the prestigious Telly Award, the Communicator Award of Distinction, and the Videographer Award of Distinction, all for producing.
JC received his Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, and he has a Master's degree from Syracuse University in Radio & TV Production. Dr. Barone is an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Mount St. Mary College, Newburgh, NY where he teaches media studies (http://faculty.msmc.edu/barone). JC's passion for teaching & production is matched by his love of animals; he is a volunteer at Catskill Animal Sanctuary, a haven for abused and abandoned horses and farm animals in New York. |
